Mandy is a Seattle native and an explorer at heart. She has spent many years traveling around the world, during which she has lived in Guatemala and India and spent extensive time in many other countries as well, volunteering, studying and exploring. It is this passion to understand people and discover new cultures that ultimately lead Mandy into the arena of childbirth. She pursued her doula certification upon recognizing that birth was a global issue and that women across the globe shared this common bond regardless of race, religion, or socioeconomic standing. Her doula certification not only broadened her global skill set; it lead her into a deep unfolding of love for her fellow womankind and the wonder of childbirth.
In addition to being a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, Mandy is a credentialed teacher with a long background of education and classroom teaching.
Mandy goes into each new birth experience with a mindset of acceptance. She desires to be a source of inspiration and support to mothers as they decide what is best for themselves and their family; this support comes without judgment or an alternate agenda. She looks at every birth as a unique experience and feels deeply honored to be a part of this sacred event.
